September Training


A pretty solid month of running. The weather dropped off a fair bit and it was a mingin enough month, but still got out a fair bit.

Joining NRG was a good shout – I missed the jacuzzi! They have ice baths there now too so that should be good for the recovery.

Goals

Been a bit under the weather the last week of September, which also brough some bad weather in the form of Storm Amy. So the race is postponed by a week – happy days.

Similar goals as before, but I’ve pushed back a by a minute.

Training

Running has been good this month. After a wild time in Germany I put the head down and got some good runs in.

Ran 3 sub 20 Parkruns this month, including one in Rome – which takes me to 13/26, or half way, in the Parkrun Alphabet. Delighted to get a 1st place finish and sub 19 in the home Parkrun of Sligo too.

Got a few long runs in as well, including around the streets and sights of Rome, which was class.

The end of the month provided an opportunity for a big event next year, more on this to come later this month!
