Personal

An unbelievable first month back in Ireland. Kicking off with my cousin Claire’s wedding which was class, starting my new job, McGurrinfest (including the Glenfarne Parkrun), moving back to Galway and even a wee trip over to North Rhine Westphalia.

It was a big month for Irish gigs, and while I didn’t make it to Oasis, the Letterkenny Summer Session was class – always good to see some 80s legends. The second time to see my beloved Nik Kershaw, a Paul McLoone fronted Undertones which was great craic and the main event, The Human League, were incredible.

The weather was pretty good throughout the month, though definitely missing the SE Asian weather a bit I must admit!

The end of the month included a trip back to NRW, where I’ve been the past 3 years. Love the area, and great to head over on the beer with the boys.

Professional

Right after the Bank Holiday I made my way to Dublin for the first day of work at SportsKey.

It’s quite a change from Shopify, given it’s a smaller team, but everyone is lovely and it’s a very exciting product.

Proud to be working on a tool that enables more people to play sport and really grateful to come back from my travels into a job.
