A fun month on the move. With my Vietnam visa running out I had to leave. There are organised visa runs where you get a bus to the border and get it done in a day, but I figured it’d be nice to head back to Chiang Mai, where I had a lot of good times earlier in the year.
Decided on heading back to Thailand with the intention of going Chiang Mai -> Chiang Rai -> Laos -> Hanoi.
Probably should have checked the weather beforehand as it was pretty poor, so I wasn’t too arsed travelling about and just stayed in Chiang Mai. The eVisa came through quickly so was able to get a flight direct to Hanoi.
Hanoi exceeded expectations, a really fun time and cool vibe about the place. The Ha Long Half Marathon was delayed by a week so that gave me more time to doss about the capital.
Finally, I sent a bunch of postcards so hopefully they’ll arrive over the coming weeks!

I’m pretty happy with the design of the blog and it’s working well so far which is nice. Couple of projects on the horizon but this month on the move it was hard to get a solid routine.
AT the start of the month I had a productive chat with a career advisor from CareerJoy, and went through a lot of their resources. A year since being let go but things are looking up – had some positive chats with people about potential roles when I return. Hopefully have more to share on this in my June reflections.
